A colorful mix of purples, whites, blue, and yellows!  Flowers range from 0.75" to 1" in diameter, making them perfect for cocktails and cupcakes.  Viola flavor is very mild, like a fresh, crisp slightly floral lettuce.

All of our edible flowers are shipped in an insulated envelope with an ice pack.  Expedited shipping is required.

Ordering Schedule & Shipping Details

  • Our Fresh Edible Flowers are shipped from our Pennsylvania farm on Wednesdays and Thursdays only. During checkout, you will be prompted to select your Ship Date. Your flowers will arrive one day after the Ship Date you select.
  • The Order Deadline for each week is Monday at 5 pm eastern time for Wednesday and Thursday shipment the same calendar week.
  • Overnight/Next Day Shipping is required because fresh edible flowers are perishable products. UPS Next Day, Next Day Saver, or Next Day Early will be the only shipping options available during checkout.

Our fresh edible flowers are shipped in an insulated bag with an ice pack to keep them cool and fresh.  Upon arrival, unpack the box immediately and store flowers in the refrigerator until use.  Flowers do not require washing before eating.  Clamshells are packed 5-10% over the advertised count in case a few are a little worn out by the shipping process.

We recommend that you ship to arrive one to two days before your event.  We have clients who are able to keep our flowers looking great up to 5 days after arrival, but we recommend using the flowers as soon as possible for the best appearance and freshness.

Well, I love Cherry Valley Organics, so in effort to be fair while also being honest, I will give three instead of two star for the home delivered edible flowers I ordered last week. I ordered a box of 50, and paid the expensive shipping ($38) to have them arrive on time for our event. This is on me, as I ordered on Friday for an event on Weds, and should have ordered sooner. Well, they didn't arrive on Tuesday, as hoped (and paid for), and unfortunately, Tuesday was unseasonably hot. By the time they arrived mid-day on Weds, they were largely wilted, but for a few of them. Still edible, yes, and I used every last one of them, however, I wouldn't order them for delivery again, and certainly not in warm weather. Note that CVO did well to pack them in insulated material. However, with the extra time it took for the package to arrive, and the hot weather, they were doomed to arrive well. So it was a nice effort, but I was wholly disappointed by this order, and the very costly delivery (much more expensive than the flowers themselves. That said (again) I love Cherry Valley Organics, and this is a one-off disappointment around the edible flowers that aren't easy to ship to begin with.

Please know that we ship thousands of edible flower orders every year, all over the United States, including to very warm climates such as Florida, California, Nevada, and Arizona, to name a few. Each year, there are only a handful of orders that arrive in the condition that you are describing. We can only attribute these anomalies to extreme conditions that the flowers experienced in the hands of the carriers (e.g., sitting in a hot delivery truck for many hours, exposure to extreme cold, etc.).

We hope you can appreciate that what happened to your order is the exception, not the rule, and we look forward to working with you in the future.

How long do the flowers last?

We recommend that you ship to arrive one to two days before your event.  We have clients who are able to keep our fresh edible flowers looking great up to 5 days after arrival, but we recommend using the fresh flowers as soon as possible for the best appearance and freshness. 

How are your fresh edible flowers shipped?

What do the edible flowers taste like?

Most edible flower petals are flavorless. The one exception is marigolds, which taste like marigolds smell. For the mildest flavor, take care to separate brown and green flower parts as these will be more bitter.

What's your return policy?

Because edible flowers are a perishable food product, they are not returnable. Replacements can be sent for qualifying items damaged in shipment or for fulfillment errors if we are contacted within 12 hours of delivery. Please refer to our Returns Policy for more information.
