I first discovered ground cherries years ago from Cherry Valley at a farmers' market, igniting a passion in me. My favorite vegetable, and now I can grow my own! The seeds can be so hard to find. Cherry Valley is a treasure through its several iterations.

My husband and I are both familiar with ground cherries. We were introduced to them a few years ago. We found your e-book very interesting and informative. It was a very friendly read and we enjoyed all the colorful photographs. We have enjoyed them in a pie and this year I am anxious to try the other recipes that you offered in your book. Seeing photographs of baked goods and other recipes, gives me more incentive to try them. We have always got our plants at the Farmer's Market, but we might try and start our own plants this year.

This was an interesting read. Honestly, I have never heard of ground cherries before. I am not sure if we even have them here in New Mexico. Next trip to the farmers market I will definitely be on the lookout for them. I do love my bing and Rainer cherries. One of my favorite fruits in the summer. I read several recipes I would love to try. Like the salsa, muffins, cookies and pies. The weather in New Mexico doesn’t get quite as cold as it does in Pennsylvania so it seems ground cherries would grow well here. Unfortunately, I do not have the ground space for much of a garden but I can do some research and find out if someone grows these cherries.
